Dislodging Safety Base is designed to reduce the potential for injuries
sustained through sliding. On impact, the entire top pad dislodges from the
bottom plate and is not obstructed, like others, by a fixed first base positioned next to a dislodging base. The plate of the double base is designed to be streamlined and
low to the ground so that the player smoothly slides over the plate and the pay can continue.
